SUGGESTED RESTAURANTS IN HAUTE NENDAZ

The village of Haute Nendaz is blessed with a wonderful selection of restaurants and bars!

The apartments position at the top of the village means that most watering holes are a short stroll away, although the stroll UP the hill at the end of the evening may take a while longer!

The list below includes the restaurants that we have tried and enjoyed, but there are many more to explore!

Taverne de l'Alpée - Great for soups, snacks and wonderful Rosti

Le Mont-Rouge - Gastronomic and regional dishes, wonderful for a special occasion, terrific Swiss atmosphere, delightful service (a personal favorite)

Le Raccard - Specialties from the Valais, large choice of fondues with a beautiful central open fire place.

Les Etagnes -International cuisine, snails, seafood and steaks in a lovely traditional chalet above the Tele Cabin.

La Trattoria Dei Savi - Wonderful Italian restaurant, great pasta and pizza but rather slow service!

Cactus Cantina - Tapas, world cuisine, pizzas, Mexican fajitas, red curry, "coco" chicken and great steak and chips! Fun "loud "atmosphere and lively bar area.

Mountain Restaurants On The Piste

Once again there are lots! Ones we have tried and enjoyed are listed below

Le Tracouet - Large building on 2 levels, self service on the ground level and waiter service upstairs, fabulous terrace and mountain views, good for soup, plates of Swiss meats and rosti.

Tortin (above Siviez) Small mountain hut with sunny terrace, lovely freshly cooked daily menu and unusual (see photo to left) special offers!

Le Tipi (Off piste on the Tortin -Siviez run) small heated Tipi with terrace , Only serve pancakes and drinks but well worth it!

Les Chottes Wonderful, fabulous etc etc mountain restaurant (piste 21 between Combatseline and Veysonnaz) Fun atmosphere both inside the huge traditional barn and outside on the terrace, really good food and huge portions!

La Marmotte On the Verbier slopes, great fun and highly recommended
