The apartment is located in Haute Nendaz within the 4 Vallies ski region, probably the largest ski area in Europe. The four valleys are Nendaz, Verbier to the right and Siviez and Veysonnaz to the left. Nendaz starts at 2200 meters rising to 3300 meters. With high snow- sure slopes it is suitable for everyone from beginners to off-piste mogul lovers!!

Nendaz in the past was very much a resort frequented by locals and visitors from Central Europe. More recently with Verbier reaching full capacity, the Ski Authorities started to invest very heavily in Nendaz transforming it from a sleepy back water to one of the best up and coming resorts. A new state of the art cable car ski lift (Tracouet) was built 50 meters from the apartment, now whisking you to the top in 15 minutes.

Virtually all the ski lifts have been replaced with the best and latest, putting Nendaz on a par with Verbier, but at substantially lower cost.

The meeting point at the top of the Ski Cabin is the perfect place to launch off to the various areas, in addition to being the location of one of the many Ski Schools. Here also are a number of great mountain restaurants with stunning views..........perfect for a simple meal or a warming vin chaud !

The easy wide open blue piste at the top of the mountain is perfect to find your snow legs, join the red half way down and ski back to the apartment, or take the lift up to Plan -du Fou for some heart stopping black runs with mogul fields to challenge the most able of skiers. From here you ski down to Tortin and take the lift up to Chassoure and ski the Verbier region, including the notorious Mont Fort at 3330m.

Outside the Tele Cabin near the apartment is a free bus to Siviez, which runs every 20 minutes. Siviez is a lovely hamlet with some of the best blue runs you will find anywhere along with a ski school. The main (very) blue at Siviez is 40-50 meters wide and probably about 3-4 miles long, just perfect for beginners. From Siviez you can also access the entire Veysonnaz and Thyon ski region or take the lift from Tortin across to Verbier.

Less than 3 minutes walk from the apartment (down the lane and turn right) is Neige Adventure, they run an excellent ski school , have great mountain guides and the most up to date ski equipment, both for hire and for sale. www.neige-adventure.ch . They offer a discount to our guests.
